Poupa Chope is the device myTapp brought in to boost bar profits even further by cutting draft beer waste. It is a very simple piece of equipment and, at the same time, extremely practical.

Connected to the draft beer line between the keg and the tap, Poupa Chope blocks the line when a keg runs out. This keeps gas from getting into the line, so you can change kegs without wasting beer on purging. It's that simple.
Poupa Chope is mounted on the wall, very close to the keg. A side opening connects to the keg, a bottom opening connects to the hose that runs to the tap, and inside the transparent tube there is a ball that blocks the beer from flowing to the tap.
When the keg runs out, the ball seals the outlet to the tap, keeping gas from entering the draft beer line. That gas is what causes all the foam that sprays out of the tap right after a keg change, and now you can eliminate it.
With the line blocked, Poupa Chope keeps the beer that is sitting in the hose between the keg and the tap from spilling out when the keg is changed. In other words, when the new keg is connected, the beer that was already in the tap line is the first to come out, so nothing is wasted!
It also has a relief valve that releases the gas that got into the line when the previous keg ran out, so the line can be filled with beer from the new keg again.
As a bonus, because Poupa Chope does not let gas into the draft beer line, it protects myTapp's measuring equipment, resulting in less maintenance and hassle for you and savings on extraction gas.
Relax, we have no plans to get rid of the head on your customers' glasses, only the nearly 1 liter of draft beer wasted on purging every time a keg is changed!
On top of that, you get a happier customer, because there is no risk of the beer running out just as they are pouring, spraying foam and gas into their glass.
There you go! From now on, purging a keg will only be for marking the opening of an event where you really want to waste the sacred liquid!

With myTapp you don't have to worry about the keg level, which you can track in real time straight from your computer or phone, and you don't have to worry about finding out which types of draft beer your customers drink most – all this information is also available to you in real time on the TAPPit Control Panel, myTapp's self-pour beer system. And, of course: no worries about waste!
So, what do you think? A combination like this is a must in any venue looking for solutions to waste while also creating a standout experience for a public that loves technology and novelty!

At the largest motorcycle and rock festival in Latin America, with about 800,000 people over ten days, self-pour beer kept pace with the event's growth without losing control. In the 2026 edition, the volume served rose more than 18% and the number of sales grew almost 29%, while operational efficiency went from 89% to 93%. The case shows how smart taps sustain beverage operations when the crowd arrives in waves.

In high season, the bar line is one of the biggest bottlenecks at a park or resort: visitors give up, miss out on the attractions and the operation loses sales. Self-pour beer ends the wait, cuts beverage service staff by up to 80% and reduces waste from about 15% to 3%, with real-time consumption data for management.

At a festival's peak, the bar line is where revenue slips away. Self-pour draft beer ends the wait, cuts service staff by up to 80% and reduces waste from about 15% to 3%. With real-time consumption data, the operation decides on the spot and sells more at the moment that matters most.
